Alexander Vögele studied law at the Universities of Berne and Zurich, Switzerland. Upon graduation from the University of Zurich as lic. iur. in 1986 he worked as clerk at the District Court of Zurich.

Since passing the Zurich Bar exam in 1990 Alexander Vögele has been practicing as an attorney in Zurich. After completing his postgraduate studies at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland with the M.B.L.-HSG Master of European and International Business Law in 1997 he became co-founder of the the law firm Dürr Vögele Partner in Basle and Zurich. Since January 2003 the law firm in Zurich offers its services under Ruoss Vögele Partner. Since 1999 Alexander Vögele lectures at the University of St. Gallen.

The professional background and long term working experience of Alexander Vögele makes him aspecialist in corporate law, contracts, commercial law, real estate and construction law, competition law, intellectual property law, banking and finance law and EU law. He is an active member of the board of directors of various Swiss companies among them Alyco Advisory AG.
