Peter Gross looks back on on- and offshore experience in legal, tax and financial planning since 1988. With his working experience in Switzerland, France, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the USA he is a true expert in understanding the diversity and complexity of international private client affairs.
Upon graduation from the Zurich Law School he worked at the Cour de Cassation in Paris, the District Court of Zurich, in the insurance and international re-insurance industry in Switzerland, and with the Federal and Estate Tax Department of the Zurich Tax Authorities. After passing the Zurich Bar exam, he received a Master of Laws degree in Transnational Business Practice from the McGeorge School of Law in California, USA.
As attorney-at-law he worked with corporate, tax and private client law firms in Atlanta, Georgia and Zurich, Switzerland.
Later, Peter Gross joined as in-house counsel and trust officer HSBC-Guyerzeller, a Swiss Private Bank leading in wealth advisory. For years, he practised estate, tax and asset protection planning for HNWI's and counselled the bank regarding compliance and corporate finance matters. In 1995, he became Deputy Management Board Member at Industrie- & Finanzkontor, one of the two Princely fiduciary firms in Vaduz, Principality of Liechtenstein, where he advised European aristocrats and their families on various commercial and non-commercial wealth advisory matters. In 1998, Peter Gross joined Clariden Trust Management, a CS Group company based in Zurich, Switzerland as Deputy Managing Director and Marketing Director responsible for the overall marketing and the management of the marketing and administration staff. As head of the market units Europe Central and North, USA/Canada, Far East as well as Latin America he advised private clients worldwide on estate, asset protection and tax matters. In April 2001 Peter Gross joined Carlsdorff Partners AG, an exclusive private client consultancy and asset management firm, based in Zurich, Switzerland. As Partner and Head of Wealth Advisory Services he was able to build up a successful business.
As of 2003 his newly formed wealth advisory firm, Alyco Advisory AG with offices in Zurich, Switzerland took over the wealth advisory business and staff from Carlsdorff as a result of a group reorganisation.
Throughout his career Peter Gross has developed together with leading law firms on- and offshore financial planning structures for tax optimisation purposes in a number of high tax countries. Peter Gross has published articles concerning the use of trusts and foundations for on- and offshore planning. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Zurich and Swiss Lawyers Associations and the International Bar Association.
