Umaima Khaliquzzaman has been associated with the financial industry for over a period of three decades. She started her career with American Express - Travel Related Services Pakistan in 1989. She was Head of Card Acquisition for Pakistan. She was responsible to market the Amex Card to High Net worth individuals & large corporate entities. She was managing a large team, in which her responsibilities included selection, training, coaching and guidance to the team for meeting the sales targets. The Chairman American Express awarded her a gold medal for conducting training on Customer Focus Skills.
In 1998 she was selected as manager priority banking by American Express Bank – Pakistan due to her market reputation within high net worth families and individuals. As a manager, she assumed the responsibility for building up client book and leading sales team as well as for marketing activities and the product development.
In 2006 she accepted a challenge to relocate to the UAE as Director Private Banking with the Royal Bank of Canada. In 2008 she joined Emirates NBD Bank as Senior Director Private Banking. She was responsible to cover Europe & CIS countries. She was involved in assisting her clients in estate planning, creating structures for the client families. She was also involved in managing complex situations regarding tax & fiduciary services with the help of tax & fiduciary lawyers. She provided tailor made solutions to her clients. She was managing assets over USD 1billion and was awarded by the bank on booking Emirates NBD Note of USD 100mil for over 8 years maturity. Over the years she has build strong relationships with her clients and they trust her advice.
After spending sixteen years with Emirates NBD Bank she joined Index & Cie Limited. She remained with the asset management company for two years after which she decided to work independently as she has the experience of UAE and other markets. Currently she is a board member of Alyco Holding DMCC.
She has attended numerous international conferences and trainings to enhance her global experience.
She is engaged in doing constructive work for underprivileged communities in Pakistan and is involved in uplifting the skills of youth.
